Ten Months/Spring Break
This kid of ours is growing too fast! Ten months old, I swear each month goes by faster and faster. Well her ten month "b-day" just happens to fall during my Spring Break. Can I just say...HEAVEN! I was talking with Jeremy the other night about going back to work in August for the next school year. Last year, going to work was hard but nice at the same time. It was nice to get away from a newborn baby and see that the world was still out there! However, I have a feeling this year is going to be a bit different...I have a feeling that it's going to be rather hard since I lOvE my days with Piper. Come August, I don't think I'm going to want to leave my little partner in crime;)
Now that I got completely sidetracked, on to the fun stuff!
Now that I got completely sidetracked, on to the fun stuff!
- She's definitely in a 12 month outfit, ahhh! It's rather interesting, depending on the brand she can still squeeze into a 3 month onesie-strange but true.
- Piper's current menu: pancakes, waffles, toast, apples, nectarines, pasta with grandma sues homemade sauce-going to be a sunday night staple in the hornbeck household, potatoes, blueberries, nanners, raspberries, chicken and rice. Honestly, anything EXCEPT broccoli. Good lord that child gets gas like crazy with broccoli, NEVER AGAIN!
- Current words:mama, dad, matt, book, quack!, no!(yells it at the dog), love you, bye
- She waves hello and good bye to anybody and everybody
- Pointing!
- Now the big one...standing on her own! AHHH! This just happened today and it freaked me out! Walking is right around the corner and I know it's going to just happen so suddenly.
- Piper still loves books more than anything else
- She is a social butterfly and loves to be center of attention...where in the world did she get that from? hhahaha;)
- She loves to help cook and clean, my kind of lady!
Books, books, books! She also enjoys taking things out and putting them back inside something.
Gorgeous spring break. Perfect sky with a light breeze and an iced tea with lemon, sweet perfection.
TUSHY! Loves bath time or should I say splash time?!
Now, this break will finish off with a zoo date tomorrow, butterfly exhibit and children's museum with daddy. Yes, daddy FINALLY gets to do something fun and not go to work:)

...Nine...Months...
Yowza, so much has happened this past month! I'm just going to get right to it:)
Things to brag about:
Things to brag about:
- Piper now wiggles her booty and dances whenever she hears music or eats something that is yummy!
- Auntie Christy and Uncle Matt have babysat Miss Piper and they have taught her so many things like high fives, climbing on the stairs and sitting in her big girl ducky chair.
- Piper is now eating more table food. She LOVES guacamole, nectarines, raspberries, blueberries, pancakes, bananas, apples and crackers. She HATES carrots, bread, pasta and really any kind of vegetable.
- Our big girl has FINALLY broken her two top teeth. Poor thing was working on those for far too long, about 4 freaking months! We are all very thankful for them to have broken through.
- She definitely crawls and crawls fast.
- She loves to sit in the bathroom and watch mama get ready for her day.
- She loves when daddy dresses for work and she gets to play with his tie:) So cute!
- Piper is also pulling herself up and scooting around the furniture. She is a risk taker and it's driving me bonkers!
- Pipes also has some allergies:( Luckily, Claritin is all she needs during the day to make it all better.
On our daily walk. We go all around the neighborhood, favorite stops include auntie and uncles house and the park!
Love the passed out position!
"Daddy you're so silly!"
Only our child would race to a Budweiser can
Piper and her puppy waiting for daddy to come home!
Cheeeeeeeeese!

Finally!
The old blog update is a MUST at this point! To be honest, I was not feeling inspired to keep this up the past few weeks. However, at this very second the babe is in bed sleeping soundly, the hubby is at work (gives me time to have some "me" time) and the Etta James channel on Pandora is killin' it right now! This all leads to some catch up time for our lil bloggy blog.
Well, our child is insane! She is crawling, scooting, sitting up on her own, eating so many new things and my favorite...wait for it....enjoys screaming at the top of her lungs! Sister has found her voice, holla! (Wow, can you feel the Etta James inspiration in this blog, hahahaha)
I will say that the past few weeks have kind of thrown me for a loop. A friend of mine, from elementary school, her 7 month old daughter passed away on New Year's. This absolutely shook my world around. I had always been warned of babies passing in their sleep, but that was just something nurses had to tell you and other people in a far away land experienced. Not someone I actually knew. From this absolutely horrific experience I took something away from it. I feel horrible that I wasn't doing this from the get go and it's so simple. Live in the moment. After hearing about this sweet little angel, not letting my own baby go for about 3 hours straight and sobbing awkward strange sobs of fear that this could happen to someone, I decided to focus on living in the moment. Stop trying to do so much, slow down and appreciate what is in front of us. Dishes can wait. Vaccuuming can be done later. Laundry-well there's always laundry to be done, so just keep stacking it up until that baby goes night night. So, here's to a new year of living in the moment and being present in those moments.

Mr. Sippy Cup is as big as Piper girl!
Sand is the most extraordinary thing is her world right now
The park is a magical place where sand meets toes and fingers, shadows fall on the ground, fresh air blows through her hair and giggles are heard the whole time we are there.
I got this ma, I'm a big girl now!
Happy eyes:)

7 Months
7 Month Update! Well, I don't have any super cute posed pic this month-I'm saving all the pics for the holiday/winter/christmas entry in a bit:) However, Piper continues to amaze us with everything she is doing! Miss Pipey officially waves and at the right time, babbles those beautiful words "mama mama mama mama", can stand with just a bit of help, finished up her round of flu shots, and smiles the most beautiful smile!
